We are looking for high performers to join us. The Installer job is physically demanding. Stamina and enthusiasm are required!
You don’t need to have experience with garage doors. Our team will train you in everything you need to know.
In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair a variety of commercial and residential overhead and garage door systems. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoys delivering excellent service to our valued customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Travel to different service calls within our designated service areas, and address customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Interpret work orders, and technical manuals to complete jobs accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and diagnose issues with customers' garage doors and related systems.
  • Install and service overhead doors, garage doors, and related systems for both residential and commercial clients.
  • Measure and fit doors to specifications, ensuring a clean and precise installation.
  • Use hand and power tools to install and repair door systems.
  • Ensure proper alignment and functionality of doors, tracks, and automatic openers.
  • Assemble door sections and all related hardware and assist with heavy lifting of doors and equipment.
  • Remove existing door(s) and mechanical parts.
  • Replace worn or broken door parts using tools.
  • Assemble mechanical parts.
  • Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware.
  • Run wiring to connect equipment.
  • Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of door systems, including motors, sensors, and hardware.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing professional and courteous service.
  • Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction.
  • Document activities related to installations.
  • Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Be excellent! Provide the best customer experience possible!
  • Maintain company equipment and vehicles in clean, working conditions.
Hourly Rate + Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on experience $22.00 - $25.00+ per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week Monday to Friday + monthly rotation of ‘on-call’ assignment.

Experience:
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Garage Door install: 1 year preferred but will train.
License/Certification:
  • Driver's License (Required)
Work Location: In person.
 
Requirements of the Job:
  • Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods.
  • Physically able to lift and carry 75lbs,
  • Perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Lift garage door panels above head
  • Able to stand on ladder.
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site.
  • Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc. as well as tablet and computer use
  • An exceptional work ethic

  • GED or HS diploma NOT required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required.
