Join our team at Anderson O'Brien, LLP as a part-time bookkeeper and play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our esteemed firm. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing various aspects of our financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong accounting skills to contribute to our success while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience in the legal industry preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of basic bookkeeping and GAAP accounting principles.
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and team player.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Preparation of all internal monthly financial statements, monthly productivity reports, and assist with preparation of annual budget.
- Administration of payroll, taxes, state and federal withholdings, and employee benefits.
- Preparation and filing of sales and use tax and local personal property tax reports.
- Regular reconciliation of accounts.
- Contact for third party employee benefit administrators, including health insurance, dental insurance, retirement plans and group life insurance.
- Contact for property/casualty and professional liability insurance.
- Contact for CPA for all tax and accounting matters.
- CLE scheduling and reporting to the State Bar of Wisconsin; preparation and filing of annual limitation of liability statement.
- Process invoices from vendors, verify accuracy, manage payment schedules, and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accuracy of the firm's general ledger, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.

Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
