The Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc., has named Nikki Dhein as its new Foundation & Alumni director. The decision was made by unanimous vote by the Foundation Board on Wednesday, April 23.
"I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to step into this esteemed position," said Dhein. "I look forward to strengthening relationships with business partners and donors as we work together to remove financial barriers to student success."
Dhein has served as Mid-State’s donor relations manager since 2023, contributing to the Foundation’s mission by connecting with donors in support of student success and providing support for Foundation events to help fund student scholarships and emergency grants.
“We are thrilled that Nikki will be stepping into the role of Foundation director,” said Mary Jo Green, Mid-State Foundation president. “Her current knowledge of the Foundation and ability to develop positive relationships with donors and students in her current role as donor manager is an asset that she will be able to further develop as director. Her communication and organization skills will lead the Foundation into the future to meet the needs of our donors, students, alumni and the College.”
Dhein also brings over 20 years of experience in radio (as Nikki Montgomery on air), where she worked with many organizations on their events. She has also planned many fundraising events for nonprofits such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make a Wish Foundation, Northwoods Veterans Post, Humane Society of Marathon County, American Red Cross Disaster Relief and more.
Established in 1979, the Mid-State Technical College Foundation, Inc., is a nonprofit organization related to, but separate from, Mid-State Technical College. Funding priorities for the Foundation include student scholarships, student services and special program support. In the last year alone, the Foundation awarded 315 scholarships to students, totaling over $219,000.
